SKINTRA - WASH IT OFF

Until now, the only thing missing from the entire SkinTry lineup was a cleansing gel. But those days are over! We can finally recommend you a complete skin care routine with just one brand. From now on, we have a new addition to the collection – a glucoside cleansing gel, which is great for both morning and evening skin care routine.
Why should you bet on this product and what does it contain? Read on and find out.

Why is cleansing so important?

Every day loads of impurities build up on the skin, produced both by the skin, such as sebum, as well as by the environment, such as pollutants and dirt. Can you imagine adding layers of skin care and makeup products every day without washing it all off? This is a recipe for skin diseases, acne, blackheads, and allergies.
That’s why cleansing is a must, and that's why at Cosibella, we recommend the double cleansing method. Our glucoside cleansing gel will be perfect both for the first and second step in such routine.

What are the ingredients in the SkinTra cleansing gel?

SkinTra - Wash It Off
  • Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside and lauryl polyglucoside are natural and non-ionic surfactants that have a gentle effect and excellent foaming properties.
  • Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid that has larger molecules than other acids, meaning it penetrates the skin slower and to a lesser degree, resulting in less irritation. In addition, it softens the skin, strengthens the hydrolipidic barrier, and has strong moisturizing properties.
  • Panthenol is a moisturizer that increases skin's ability to bind water in the epidermis. It forms a delicate film on the skin, has a regenerative effect, promotes wound healing, and soothes irritation and inflammation.
  • Allantoin is a humectant that increases skin's ability to bind water and forms a gentle moisturizing film.

Effect and key properties of glucoside cleansing gel

Let’s take a look at how the mentioned ingredients take care of your skin – and see what this gel does that makes it different from other similar products.

Cleans thoroughly and gently
Our gel contains glucoside surfactants, which have excellent cleansing ability and are incredibly gentle on the skin's microbiome and its hydrolipidic barrier.
The combination and concentrations of surfactants were chosen to quickly and effectively fight all impurities, including makeup, while taking care of the microbiome and preventing irritation in the eye area. The gel is suitable for all skin types and can be used during acid and retinoid treatments.

Cares for your skin’s microbiome
Perfectly composed surfactants are only half of this product's success. It also contains inulin – a prebiotic which helps maintain a healthy skin microbiome. As a result, it protects the skin from external factors and maintains the right level of hydration, as well as prevents acne breakouts and irritation.

Suitable even around the eyes
In order to effectively cleanse the entire face, you can’t avoid the area around the eye. But how can you clean them thoroughly when the gel stings and causes irritation? That's what we wanted to avoid, and that's why the glucoside gel from SkinTra does not irritate the eye area and is suitable for washing off mascara.
The safety of using this gel in the eye area has been confirmed by an ophthalmologist.

Doesn’t irritate the skin
The product has skin care properties thanks to a combination of gluconolactone and allantoin. They provide an adequate level of hydration and prevent dryness and irritation caused by cleansing, even if you have dry and sensitive skin.

Creates beautiful gentle foam
When distributed thoroughly in the hands, this gel becomes a thick mousse-like foam, which makes the cleansing process easier and faster. Interestingly, the gel is quite thick, so the foam is, too. This makes it very cost-efficient!

Contains non-allergenic fragrance
This gel is the first SkinTry product to contain a fragrance composition. However, the selected scent formula does not contain allergens, which makes the product suitable for people with sensitive skin.

How to use the product

Spread the necessary amount of gel in wet hands and foam it. Next, apply the product to the wet face. Massage until all the impurities disappear, then rinse with lukewarm water. Use in the morning and in the evening.

First use – my impression

Let me start with the visual side of the product – the brown glass it's made of is very aesthetically pleasing and eco-friendly, and it looks beautiful in the bathroom.
Second point – the product is very thick, and it doesn't run through your fingers, so you don't waste any gel when applying it to your hands and face.
It foams up great, which surprised me a lot. I come across more and more gels that are just slightly foamy, which makes me apply more because I feel like the skin isn't washed well. Here, the effect is the opposite – just one pump creates a perfect, thick foam that cleanses the face thoroughly.

Feedback after prolonged use

I have mixed skin, but with a tendency to dryness at the moment. However, I think that this gel will work well for any skin type – even oily or sensitive. As I mentioned after my first use, I continue to appreciate the density of this gel, as it is SUPER efficient! I've been using it for the past two/three weeks, it's present in my daily care routine, yet I haven't noticed much consumption.
Occasionally, I have used it as the first and second stage of the cleansing process – so how did it go? The gel washed off my face and eye makeup perfectly! It only took two pumps of the product, and I had both a thorough makeup removal at the first stage and well-cleansed skin as part of the second stage.
It works well for me in both the morning and evening skincare routine. I think it's a very versatile product and both men and women of all skin types will like it. When it comes to cleansing gels – SkinTra’s ‘Wash It Off’ has become one of my favorites.
